A great way to get started with fly fishing, these trips are designed to teach you some basic techniques and give you the confidence to catch a fish. Local rivers provide good fishing and peaceful surroundings for a relaxing day trip.
Venue: within 1 hour from Melbourne, varies according to conditions, city pickup available.
Cost: $140 per person in a group of 3, includes lunch and free use of gear. Fishing time 8.00AM to 5.00PM approx. Cost is $200 per person if in a group of 2. Single persons $380 and other groups by arrangement.
Discount: Pay in advance for a beginner’s course and a day trip and save $10 per person!

If you prefer private instruction, day trips can be provided as above but on a one on one basis. Cost: $380 inclusions as above.

Each November and February
Cost: $900 per person - includes transport ex Melbourne, all accommodation and meals.

This trip takes advantage of the flushes of spring and autumn in an area that is not so heavily fished due to its remoteness. The river fishes very well at the start and end of the season. We will stay at Omeo and fish the Mitta Mitta River and its smaller tributaries. There are usually excellent Caddis hatches as well as Duns and the chance to fish wet or dry fly and deep nymphs.
A great chance to practice productive techniques with expert guidance.

6 days, 5 nights
Each November and February
Cost: $900 per person in a group of 3 anglers - includes transport ex Melbourne, all accommodation and meals.

This trip takes advantage of the flushes of spring and autumn in an area that is not so heavily fished due to its distance from major towns. We will stay at the Mitta Mitta Hotel and fish the Mitta Mitta River and Dartmouth Pondages. There are usually excellent Caddis hatches as well as Duns and the chance to fish wet or dry fly and deep nymphs.

4 days, 3 nights
Cost: $650 per person (4 participants required), includes transport ex Melbourne, all accommodation and meals.

Stunningly beautiful in its autumn colours, Bright the gateway to the Victorian highlands, offers lots of smallish fish in a variety of streams. There is still some good dry fly fishing at this time and myphing is always productive. We will stay in cabins at a van park and explore the local area. All gear is supplied if required. ]
